Stories and highlights
There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.
A year at our school
đ⨠Book Week 2025 â Book an Adventure! â¨đ
Regents Park Public School came alive with colour, laughter and imagination as students and staff celebrated Book Week 2025. Inspired by this yearâs theme, âBook an Adventureâ, our annual Book Parade was filled with wizards, superheroes, pirates, fairies, animals and more, with students proudly showcasing their favourite characters and stories. A big thank you to our staff, parents and carers for helping bring the magic of reading to life, and congratulations to our colouring-in competition winnersâwhat a wonderful way to celebrate the joy of reading!
Stage 2 Excursion
Our Stage 2 students had the most amazing day at Riverside Theatre, Parramatta, where they experienced the magic of Josephine Wants to Dance! The performance was filled with music, laughter and inspiration, reminding us all to dream big, be brave and dance to our own beat. We are so proud of the way our students represented Regents Park Public School, with members of the public and even Transport NSW praising their âperfectâ behaviour. What a wonderful day of learning, fun and school pride!
Education Week 2025
During our week of celebrations, we celebrated Theatrical Thursday as part of our Education Week festivities, with students immersed in music, art, dance and drama. Classrooms buzzed with creativity, and a highlight was watching our talented students design their own puppets and perform puppet shows for their peers, a fantastic display of imagination, storytelling and confidence! It was wonderful to see our students shine in so many artistic forms, and we look forward to wrapping up Education Week tomorrow with one final celebration.
đ⨠Multicultural Day at RPPS â¨đ
We began the day with a vibrant Multicultural Assembly, where students and families proudly wore cultural costumes, filling the hall with colour and pride. Kindergarten warmed hearts with a beautiful performance, followed by our Regents Park Choir giving a sneak peek of their upcoming School Spectacular performance, along with inspiring multicultural public speaking and a stunning dance showcase. Families then enjoyed Open Classrooms and a school picnic, with an incredible spread of cultural foods filling the playground. A heartfelt thank you to all our parents, carers and families, it was a wonderful celebration of diversity, talent and community spirit at Regents Park Public School.
Gimbawali Dreams 2025 Concert
Our talented choir students had the incredible opportunity to perform at the Opera House as part of the Metropolitan South Gimbawali Dreams 2025 Concert. The experience allowed them to shine on a big stage, celebrate their hard work, and showcase the very best of public education. We are extremely proud of their dedication, talent, and the way they represented Regents Park Public School.
Swimming Carnival
Our annual school swimming carnival will be held in Term 4, providing students with the opportunity to showcase their swimming skills and enjoy a fun, competitive day with their peers. The carnival encourages participation from all students, with a range of events suited to different ability levels. It is always a highlight of the school calendar, bringing together our school community to celebrate teamwork, sportsmanship, and school spirit.
Athletics Carnival
Our school athletics carnival is a key event in Term 3, where students come together to participate in a variety of track and field events. The carnival provides opportunities for all students to be involved, whether they are competing for ribbons, earning points for their house, or simply giving their best effort. Itâs a day that highlights athletic talent, determination, and sportsmanship, while also fostering school spirit and teamwork. Families are always encouraged to come along and cheer on the students, making it a wonderful community celebration.
Metropolitan South and Metropolitan South West Public Speaking Competition  2025
On Tuesday, 23rd September, three of our students proudly represented our school at the Regional Final of the Metropolitan South and Metropolitan South West Public Speaking Competition. Each student presented both a prepared speech and an impromptu speech created on the day, showcasing their confidence, enthusiasm, and passion for public speaking. We are extremely proud of their efforts and achievements, with one of our students receiving a âHighly Commendedâ award for their outstanding performance.
